After a visit to show their bags to Louis Cartier in New York, in the wake of the wall street disaster of 1929, S.T. Dupont decided to make their business even more luxurious. There were a lucky few who remained unaffected by the crash and S.T. Dupont created a business around those that could afford the hefty price tag that the high quality of their items demanded.
