Of course there are many reasons to add to your jewelry collection. In fact, it’s hard to find reasons not to add to your collection! With all the gorgeous pieces available today, and with the affordable resource of Bidz.com, you’ll want to add to your personal jewelry collection often.
Below are the top five reasons to add to your jewelry collection:
- Stay with the times! Though some rings, necklaces and other jewelry styles are classics and remain fashionable and gorgeous for what seems forever, it is also quite true that jewelry goes out of fashion. Swap out the old for the newest styles. Remember: if you want your collection to span the decades, avoid trendy styles.
- Add variety to your accessories. Jewelry adds variety and color and is the ultimate accessory.
- Coordinate with your wardrobe. Show the fashionista in you! Coordinate your jewelry with your outfits for a complete and put-together look.
- Stick with the seasons. Colors and styles of jewelry change over the years, but they also change with the seasons just like your wardrobe. Add pieces to work with the outdoors and the fashions of the seasons.
- Build a valuable collection over the years. A fine jewelry collection can add quite a bit of value to your personal net worth. It also creates tradition and heirlooms to be cherished in your family for decades and even centuries to come.

Heavy chain necklaces are hitting the scene. Jewelry, particularly necklaces, will be more simple than ornate, and the always popular richness of yellow gold is back in full swing. Yellow gold plays up the beauty of spring by effortlessly coordinating with the sun we’ve missed during past months!
My point: be on the lookout for all things gold. Don’t be afraid to build up your jewelry pool as yellow gold always has its shine in the spotlight this time of year. Simple, classic jewelry styles will never go out of fashion—just like the pinstriped trouser or the classic bob.
If you’re going for a heavy necklace, choose a long one. This way it will be a great accessory rather than something from a biker’s nightmare! The longer the necklace is, the chunkier it can be without overwhelming your overall look.

The word “chunky” isn’t generally something women enjoy hearing/reading/thinking/imagining/seeing. In jewelry, however, chunky is fabulous!
Whether you’re on the hunt for a new ring, some chandelier earrings or attempting to salvage your great aunt’s immense and unfortunately unkempt brooch collection, keep your eyes peeled for chunky and substantial pieces.
Word of caution: though layering may be a popular trend in jewelry and overall fashion, it should not be applied to chunky pieces. They are chunky for a reason! One well-placed chunky brooch will accessorize as well as five layered gold chain necklaces. You don’t want to become ol’ Lola (a la Copacabana, naturally) with a hunched back due to heavy jewelry, and you certainly don’t want the judging eyes of your girlfriends attacking you because of your overzealous accessorizing tendencies.

It may seem to some that “country” and “chic” do not necessarily coincide. Chic fashion is typically associated with cities (ie: New York, Milan, Paris).
However, when done correctly you can indeed create a chic piece of jewelry inspired by the rugged country. This ring is a great example of just that!
Of course, this ring is a men’s ring and is therefore destined to be more chunky and more masculine by nature. Featured on this ring is a horse, showcased within the horse-shoe face of the piece. Along the sides of the ring are two eagles and two stars. The horse-shoe face is studded with 15 round cut white diamonds and the ring itself is crafted out of 14K white gold.
This piece is a men’s size US-9.5/EU-20.98. It is a gorgeous gift for any cowboy, whether he is a true cowboy or simply a cowboy at heart.
This ring is valued at $3,729.00 retail, so get your bidding on now!

Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood have been seen sporting the once passe, now extremely popular, chandelier earrings. Chandelier earrings, like all fashion, have faded in out of vogue but appear to be making a comeback as more and more celebrities are spotted wearing them.

No doubt that you can find chandelier earrings and other assorted jeweled goodies by browsing through our online auction. With June weddings, graduations and Mother’s Day around the corner, now is the time to relax, pull up to your computer screen, enjoy a round of bidding and be prepared with gifts for all your upcoming festivities.
