“Today the House of Winston competes with the world’s toniest jewelers for the red carpet spotlight. At this year’s Academy Awards, The Devil Wears Prada star Anne Hathaway donned some 100 carats of diamonds from Van Cleef and Arpels; Aussie actress Naomi Watts dazzled in an 85-carat triple strand diamond necklace from Chopard; and Cartier provided Cameron Diaz nine-carat emerald earrings cushioned in 65 carats’ worth of rocks.”

And of course there is Jennifer Lopez’s “6.1-carat pink solitaire diamond from Harry Winston said to be worth $1.2 million.” But it doesn’t appear as if she will miss it very much as it appears that her diamonds have been replenished and she indeed does wear them well.

Gwyneth Paltrow is seen wearing her borrowed Harry Winston jewels on Oscar night, as did most of the sparkling stars in that event. Harry Winston has long been the traditional jeweler lending bling to Hollywood’s luminaries.
“Each year, Winston lends a staggering $200 million worth of jewelry to celebrities. As those very celebrities walk down the red carpet dressed in the likes of Gucci, Versace or Cavalli, one other name is always implied: Harry Winston, jeweler to the stars.”
