Brand Highlight: Vera Wang

verawang_signature.jpgAs I’ve mentioned in recent days’ posts, I am more than excited to be seeing Vera Wang pieces in our online jewelry auctions!

Since 1990, Vera Wang’s fashion sense has etched its way into the Hollywood lifestyle. Her efforts focus on the modern young woman. She has worked for Vogue (as the world’s youngest fashion editor of age 23) and Ralph Lauren until she was married, which became her inspiration to jump into the fashion business under her own name.

Vera’s design genius has been behind her high-end clothing lines, including favorite wedding gowns of the celebrities (she is certainly a wedding guru), her accessories and jewelry, and even a line of Vera Wang signature fragrances.

Check our jewelry auctions daily for the chance to win gorgeous fine jewelry by Vera Wang at prices that will keep you smiling.

Radiant Cut

radiant cut diamond solitaireAs I’ve mentioned in earlier posts, the brilliant (round) cut diamond is the classic cut for solitaires. Other cuts are gaining popularity today, though. One such cut is the square cut which seems to be very popular among today’s preference bridal rings.

But take a look at this piece featuring a radiant cut diamond. The radiant cut resembles a couch cushion; rectangular which peaks with a tuft. It’s a modern cut and absolutely breathtaking as a solitaire.

This cut has many benefits. The settings are sturdier and the diamond doesn’t protrude, which makes it a fabulous choice for active women today. Because it is generally set into the ring, the diamond stays cleaner and thus more sparkly.

Following popular cut trends today is interesting as women seem to lean toward the angular and not the curvy—very contrary to classic preference. No matter what day and age, however, women will prefer the cut that fits their personality and lifestyle. But keep a lookout at solitaires as they make a statement about the trends of the era.
