Treat Yourself To An Ornate Diamond Necklace

Diamond NecklaceTruly ornate jewelry is hard to come by for many active jewelry enthusiasts.  Luxury jewelry is typically subdued and made to showcase its rare materials rather than its inherent craftsmanship and style.  Too much credit can be given to the weight of the diamonds or karat of the gold behind jewelry pieces.  Sometimes, the purchaser is merely seeking a piece like none they have ever seen before.

If you are on a personal quest to take home a jewelry piece like none other, you need look no further.  This gorgeous gold and diamond necklace is built to showcase pure jewelry beauty to the world.  Crafted in the shape of a flower, it combines 14 karat white gold, pure diamonds, tanzanite and tourmaline into a truly unique necklace.  Wearing this necklace or gifting it to someone you love will widen eyes and dazzle hearts.

Bidz.com works hard to provide quality luxury jewelry at affordable prices to thousands of satisfied customers each and every day.  Our auctions are updated on a minute-by-minute basis to ensure a wide variety of jewelry pieces are available for your choosing.  Take the time to consider a category of our inventory and build a “watch-list” of items that you fancy.  When they near closing, bid on the auction and secure an item you’re sure to cherish.

Gem Spotlight: Tanzanite

opal_tanzanite-bracelet.jpgTanzanite, part of the zoisite mineral species, was first discovered in Tanzania, East Africa, in 1967. It is more frequently found in rich, purple/blue tones.

The gem is a very brittle and fragile stone. Often mined in a blue color with purple overtones, the stone can also be found with brown coloring and is heat treated to draw out the exotic blue/purple coloring it is loved for.

Around 1967, lightening caused a fire that burned areas of Tanzania. After the fires, Masai cattle herders discovered this stone as it had been turned from brown to a rich blue/purple color. After these herders discovered the stone, Tiffany & Co. named it and introduced it to the rest of the world in 1969. Tanzanite remains one of the newest gemstone on the jewelry market today.

This gorgeous white gold bracelet, valued at $1,739.00 retail, showcases eight round cut tanzanite stones. These stones are framed by 16 cabochon cut opals. Also, dotting the bracelet are eight round cut white diamonds. Bid now to win this gorgeous piece!

Tanzanite also has many of the same abilities as that of the blue Sapphire, in that it dispels stress, improves communications and is a mood elevator. It can also overcome long-term misfortunes and has been known to help protect from travel dangers.”

The Romance of Tanzanite and Diamonds

“The romance of Tanzanite begins in the arid Merelani foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Born of fire, Tanzanite’s beauty remained secret to Tanzania’s nomadic Massai until 1967. Legend has it that a short lived grass fire caused by a lightening strike was the first catalyst that turned brown surface pebbles of Zoisite (Tanzanite’s gemological name) into the vibrant blues spotted by Massai herdsmen. While wonderfully romantic, it is now generally regarded as unlikely that enough heat could be generated by such a fire to affect such a transformation.”

Unique Tanzanite Bracelet

tanzanite
Tanzanite is a fascinating mix of deep blues and purple and a much coveted gemstone. It was discovered in Tanzania in 1967 and is found nowhere else in the world. It is increasingly being viewed as a rare commodity due to over mining.

“The precious crystals grew in deposits on the inside of these unusual elevations. For a long, long time they were hidden from the eye of Man, until one day some passing Masai shepherds noticed some sparkling crystals lying in the sun and took them along with them.”

A Rare Gem: An Excellent Anniversary Gift

tanzanite

If you are looking for a unique, one of a kind, exquisite gift for the woman that you have loved for 20 years, what better way to celebrate your coming anniversary than with a gem that Times magazine exclaims is the “new stone for romance“? The name of this rare gem is the Tanzanite and it is only found in Tanzania. With only an estimated 15 year supply left of this incredible and rare gem, it is a piece of jewelry destined to become a family heirloom.

“The blueish-purple stone with some flashes of red is found only in one place in the world — Tanzania in east Africa. It was discovered in 1967 and introduced to the U.S. market two years later by Tiffany & Co. According to www.gemstone.org, the Web site for the International Colored Gemstone Association, tanzanite is a blue variety of the gemstone zoisite. But Tiffany’s executives didn’t like the name zoisite, so they suggested tanzanite, after where it was found, and a sensation was born.

This year’s Time magazine fashion supplement touts it as the new stone for romance. The article quotes geologists estimating there’s only a 15-year supply left at the only mining site, so you better hurry to get yours.”
